With this purchase, you will receive an instant download PDF pattern with colored pictures and step by step instructions on how to make your own padded laptop cover. This is an intermediate pattern, being that we insert a rounded zipper where accurate seam allowances will affect the overall look in the end. We’ve included dozens of pictures to accompany each step, and for the first time ever, we’ve also included “retractable” pattern pieces that will allow you to create a custom fit for *most laptop sizes! Cutting measurements are also included within the instructions as well as a simple formula to calculate the correct size if you prefer to just use a ruler and rotary cutter. As with all our patterns, we have a “how-to” video showing this pattern being made from start to finish that can be found on our YouTube channel, “Linds Handmade Designs.”
It features a zippered main compartment with 4 interior anchors to keep your device stabilized inside. With its slim profile, it’s perfect to throw into a backpack/bag and go, or use the convenient carrying handle located on the spine. Finished size is dependent on your laptop dimensions.
*Please note, due to its slim profile and not having any gusset, this pattern is suitable for most laptops UP TO 1” thick. If your device is thicker than 1”, this pattern may not fit well.

• ½-¾ yard main fabric
• ½-¾ yard lining fabric
• 12-24”x 2½” piece of vinyl/cork/leather
• 12”-24” of webbing
• 2 yards of 20” woven interfacing
• 10” of ¼” wide braided elastic
• 1 yard Pellon Flex-Foam 1-sided fusible (FF78F1)
• ½-¾ yard of Fusible Fleece*
• 1-1½ yards of #5 zipper by the yard
• (1) #5 zipper pull
• ⅛” Double side tape (*optional)
• Craft glue stick (*optional)
• Wonder clips or metal hair clips
• Quilting ruler
• Rotary cutter
